Manuscript of book relating to Channel Islander Charles Robin (1743-1824) who sailed from Jersey in 1765 to establish fishing and trading posts on the south coast of the GaspeĢ Peninsula, eventually founding the firm of Charles Robin & Company. Contains information relating to John Paul Jones and the burning of Falmouth, Mass. (later Maine) on October 18, 1775, by British naval forces.
